Job Description

 

  • Oldcastle Infrastructure is seeking a Business Analyst who will report to the business unit Finance Director and play a key role in developing solutions to guide decision-making across sales and operations.
  • The Business Analyst is a subject matter expert responsible for collaborating with stakeholders across all business functions.
  • The Business Analyst will develop analytical tools, standardized reporting and dashboards, executable strategies, and assist leadership in the continuous improvement of business processes.
  • The Business Analyst functions include but are not limited to reporting, forecasting, budget preparation, pricing analytics, pricing strategy, sales analyses and scenario testing.
  • This person will be capable of defining and initiating projects based on the needs of the business, independently carrying out necessary analyses, and developing strategies with the co-operation of other stakeholders to drive changes, improve performance, and track progress.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with advanced data visualization tools such as Tableau and is motivated to continually develop their analytical toolset as new technologies emerge.
  • This candidate is a highly motivated self-starter with a passion for data and the ability to simplify complex issues and clearly communicate actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop market evaluations and pricing strategies to achieve revenue and margin goals by market.
  • Develop and utilize tools to provide analytics, reporting, and scenario modeling.
  • Prepare price reporting, dashboards and competitor & market intelligence to share with a cross-functional audience.
  • Analyze product performance and trends by market.
  • Analyze product mix shift with intent of improving profitability.
  • Support merger & acquisition activity and investment decisions
  • Carry out scenario modelling to guide supply chain and production decisions
  • Foster relationships with product management, sales, and operations teams.
  • Recognize trends and needs related to products, customers, brands and target markets
  • Assist in development and implementation of new products by conducting feasibility studies to determine product viability.
  • Ad-hoc analysis of specific areas or trends as required

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelors’ degree in business, engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years professional experience.
  • Strong proficiency in quantitative analysis utilizing Microsoft applications, database/SQL query logic, and other data analysis tools
  • Highly analytical individual who can convert data and analysis into actionable strategies.
  • Experience with the use of advanced data visualization tools such as Tableau and GIS mapping is desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, presentation, and communications skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment and managing multiple projects.
  • Travel is expected to be ~20%.
