Position Overview

 

This position offers a diverse set of responsibilities and will work alongside senior management of the Oldcastle Infrastructure group on reporting of monthly results and development of tools to better convey performance. The candidate is a skilled financial professional with extensive experience converting data into meaningful analysis for decision makers, using tools such as Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Excel spreadsheets and various Business Intelligence tools. 

 

  • Preparation of consolidated financial reporting for management reporting and parent company consolidation reporting
  • Support strategic group initiatives with data and analysis to measure EBITDA growth across different business units
  • Development of business intelligence visualizations for disbursing data to management in visual format
  • Continuous improvement & maintenance of HFM reporting and data extraction from ERP systems
  • Maintain and track schedules on Capital expenditure approvals, spend and budgeted progress, including IFRS 16 Lease accounting models
  • Functional leadership and liaise with business unit financial teams on significant issues
  • Review internal management financial statements, develop commentary to describe business performance and explain variances on queries
  • Review balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis to confirm proper reconciliation and supporting backup
  • Lead compilation and consolidation rollup of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Semi-annual GAAP to IFRS conversion process for parent company reporting
  • Coordinate and liaise with external/internal auditors and business unit financial teams for requests/documentation related to audits
  • Work on ad hoc projects as directed

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years’ experience working in a large corporate environment in Finance/Accounting
  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) or other consolidation reporting tool
  • Experience converting large data sets into information to help drive data-based business decisions
  • Proven ability to develop relationships and to work with diverse teams
  • Strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid values and high standards of ethics, integrity, and trust
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple requirements and deadlines
