Job Description

 

The Distributor Sales Manager (DSM) is responsible leading the strategy and execution for the distributor channel to market across all market segments.  The DSM collaborates with the OI Enclosures sales management team and the broader Oldcastle Infrastructure commercial team to build and manage executive level relationships with national and regional partner distributors, develop and manage programs in support of growing share across all distributor accounts, and drive local and regional execution of the OIE channel strategy in conjunction with the OIE sales managers in each market segment. The Distributor Sales Manager will report to the OI Enclosures Commercial Vice President.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • The Distributor Sales Manager will have responsibility for managing the Oldcastle Infrastructure Enclosures’ distributor channel strategies and programs for all North American markets including C&I, Water, Irrigation, Communications, and Electric Utility.
  • Develop, implement and maintain overall strategic direction for OI Enclosure’ channel to market across all North American markets including C&I, Water, Irrigation, Communications, and Electric Utility.
  • Manage the “top to top” relationships with our key national and regional distributor accounts, in conjunction with the OIE and Oldcastle Infrastructure (OI) Leadership Team.
  • Lead the development of distributor marketing programs to enhance OIE’s competitive channel position.
  • Collaborate with the OIE Sales Management Team to implement the local and regional distributor channel strategy in support of OIE sales goals.
  • Manage the distributor channel processes, analytics & reporting, and activities in support of the commercial and operational objectives.
  • Collaborative with Marketing and Product Management teams to develop marketing material targeted to the distributor channel.

  • Strategic thinker who can assimilate market trends and needs quickly and create channel strategies to capitalize on the trends and needs to deliver growth.
  • Strong relationship skills: fits well with executive management team, is comfortable with rigorous give and take, communicative and collaborative style
  • Team player; effective in a matrix environment, ability to coordinate and collaborate across a broad organization to drive actions and results.
  • Experience in B2B industries with both direct served and distributor served go to market structure.
  • High initiative and drive; a self-starter who operates with speed, simplicity, and passion to succeed.

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years professional experience including experience with a manufacturer in a B2B distributor served go-to-market model.
  • Working knowledge of Oldcastle Infrastructure’s construction end market segments including Water, Irrigation, Electric C&I, Communications, and Energy.
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, presentation, and communications skills
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment and managing multiple projects.
  • Travel is expected to be ~50%
