The Field Marketing Manager serves as a direct support of all Marketing needs and planning to the Sales and Retail teams. He/she is responsible for communicating regional business objectives through the planning, development, and execution of market specific strategy and tactics. He/she is a strong support of the retail business and will assist with the in-store POP, reset planning and material, and will help with determining and managing incremental Marketing support. Additionally, the Field Marketing Manager acts as the local marketing lead and liaison with the broader Marketing team.


Primary Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:


  • Partner with the local sales team to gather customer feedback on products, programs, and overall brand perception by market
  • Ensure all company events are planned, promoted, and executed at a high level working in partnership with the Marketing team and local Sales team
  • Provide training to both the sales team and external partners on key products and programs. Help educate teams on Marketing opportunities as well as performance
  • Monitor and report on competitor marketing tactics by region for both consumer and trade and provide feedback to the Brand Managers 

  • Partner with the Brand Manager to leverage local market knowledge in creating campaigns that reflect unique market conditions related to product offering, customer mix, and competitor strategy
  • Support approx. 30 sales representatives by managing their requests and providing them with necessary promotional tools for their specific markets (US, Canadian and European)
  • Manage all promotional material for the company, including development of tools, creation of SKU’s in the system, preparing and sending orders to the representatives and managing the inventory on an ongoing basis.
  • Coordinate all trade shows and annual events (preparation and packaging of furniture, equipment, reservation services, installations and hotels)
  • Maintain and update calendar of marketing activities (promotional material, shows, events, advertisements, transportation, etc.) and ensure a timely execution of deliverables
  • Monitor marketing expenses vs budget and produce monthly reports
  • Maintain a filing system (both physical and electronic) of all marketing materials for the department, including marketing materials of our competitors

Preferred Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or equivalent subject matter
  • Minimum of 3 years in brand, marketing, or channel experience
  • Previous experience in a field marketing role
  • Technical knowledge in the chemical products category is preferred
  • Highly organized and proven project management skills
  • Analytical skills and acute attention to detail
  • Foster a spirit of teamwork
  • Must be adaptable with ability and willingness to efficiently manage multiple priorities and demands that continuously shift in a dynamic and fast-paced environment 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working with major retailers highly preferred
  • Ability to travel 10-15%
