Position Overview


Provide support and issue resolution for Viewpoint and Proactis.


Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)


  • Interaction with internal users to address and correct system issues identified.
  • Interaction with software vendors to resolve software issues and make enhancement requests.
  • Testing software upgrades and working with vendor to resolve any issues uncovered.  Upgrading user documentation to reflect upgrade enhancements.
  • Recording support details utilizing an internal help desk ticketing system.
  • Provide backup and support to Tier II & III Service Desk performing application access and security.
  • Supervise Change Management Process for financial applications ensuring completeness/accuracy of changes requested.
  • Responsible for updating use cases and test scripts for application testing.
  • Developing documentation and schedule for end user training.
  • Developing and maintaining procedural documentation related to job functions.
  • Coordinating issue resolution with other support areas as required.
  • Development of quick reference tools to address the more common issues, and their solutions, within the software.
  • Responsible for initial triage on all trouble shooting issues to determine what members of our larger IT should be involved.  Focus should center on involving the appropriate teams as early as possible to ensure timely resolution.
  • Monthly internal audit compliance review.
  • Participation in annual audit testing, providing supporting documentation as required
  • Participate as a member of the Viewpoint Team working to support and cross train on US and Canadian Viewpoint instances.
  • Up to 20% travel.




To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.




  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Computer related or accounting/finance discipline, or equivalent experience preferred


Work Requirements


  • SQL database knowledge and basic SQL comprehension.
  • Viewpoint Construction Software or other accounting software support experience.
  • Viewpoint for Mobile or other time and production units tools
  • Viewpoint for Content Management or other content management tools
  • Purchase To Pay System experience
  • Experience in support of financial applications (AP, AR, GL etc.).
  • Understanding of General Ledger systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
