Position Overview
 

We are looking for a self-motivated, detail oriented, fast learner to assist with a Human Resources Job Family project, Financial Transparency project  as well as assist with other IT projects for CRH Americas IT Team as requested.   This internship is paid and may last up to three months. This position is based in the CRH Americas Materials Atlanta Corporate headquarters.

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Assist in Financial Transparency Project – work with IT and financial leadership to:
    • Learn, code and analyze technology spend via cost type
    • Understand and code lines of business and business divisional framework
    • Assist in creation / testing of budget, forecasting models
    • Assist in capture of additional data points, including but not limited to:  user counts, software listings, trouble tickets, labor time and motion studies, etc.
  • Work with HR and IT leadership to assist in execution of Human Resources Job Family Project:
    • Work with HR to draft family component template
    • Work with frontline managers to take existing job descriptions and apply them to a family component template
    • Draft / update job descriptions or titles for review by managers
    • Assist in market study assessment
    • Assist in creation of training and communication materials
  • Work with Communications team to assist in drafting / reviewing communications to all IT or end users in the business
  • May assist team in additional project work as requested

 

Qualifications 
 

Education/Experience

 

  • Current college student in pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in 
  • Microsoft office, excel and email capabilities.
  • Financial class study and marketing study a plus.

  • Ability to handle personnel and financial sensitive data
  • Possess a “self-starter”, entrepreneurial personality
  • Timeliness, punctuality, and strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to grasp concepts and instructions quickly.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to be a good team player.
  • A flexible attitude towards evolving responsibilities and environments and outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
