Position Summary

 

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team and help us move to a next level with the management of our projects. Key strategic projects will require collaboration with multiple areas of our business, various vendors and customers. In addition to this, these projects will range in size from medium to large-scale projects, as well as, include both technical and functional aspects of our environment. We are looking for an individual to be part of a business partnership that is driving value to our bottom line every day. This individual will work closely with our software development, infrastructure and education teams to ensure the delivery of assigned projects and will be responsible for the management of projects and ensuring on time delivery of them.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure project scope is clearly defined and deliverables are aligned with sponsor and business requirements
  • Ability to develop and manage overall project plans with appropriate timelines, budgets and resources
  • Manage cross-functional resources across tasks
  • Coordinate with the education team to ensure education materials and training schedules are developed and delivered on time based on the needs of the projects assigned
  • Coordinate with Solutions Engineer to ensure technical documentation is developed and communicated to appropriate parties
  • Ensure consistent project management methodology and processes are followed
  • Manage scope creep beyond initial requirements
  • Work with IT management team to develop metrics that define project success
  • Provide project reporting to IT management and company executives
  • Follow company IT project methodology standards to provide consistent results to the business
  • Function as liaison between the business and IT and be able to communicate effectively across each group
  • Work with IT Management to evaluate solutions and ensure they are in line with organizational goals
  • Manage third party vendor relationships as appropriate to ensure deliverables are met and on time.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects concurrently

 

Requirements

 

  • Two+ years of experience in a dedicated project management role with a bachelor’s degree or five years of equivalent experience in a dedicated project management role without a bachelor’s degree
  • Strong documentation skillset demonstrated through ability to create standard project documentation (ex. Project Charter, Project Plan, Business Case, Scope Analysis, etc.)
  • Comprehensive understanding of complex processes from a business and IT perspective (sample areas include Order Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, Transportation, A/R or A/P)
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
  • Strong Interpersonal skills
  • Must have good negotiation skills
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately
  • Strong teamwork skills but also capable of working independently
  • PMP certification a plus
  • Manufacturing Industry experience a plus
  • ERP experience a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% within North America
