Job Overview


The ITGC (Information Technology General Controls) Financial Applications Compliance Analyst will play a key role in our ITGC SOX Compliance Program by partnering with the IT organization to help drive continuous improvement in the IT control environment and the SOX compliance program.  Responsible for leading ITGC improvement projects as well as overseeing the day-to-day execution of SOX related activities within the Financial Applications environment.  Compliance analyst will develop, implement and manage all ITGC compliance strategies and track compliance progress against the company’s IT olicies and procedures.  Will provide guidance on adhering to and improving compliance performance, and will partner with various process owners to create and deliver regular compliance reporting, including functional training materials. Additional functions include building and maintaining close relationships with teams across the enterprise to ensure knowledge-sharing and alignment. Performs other duties as assigned.


Essential Functions


  • The primary focus of this position will be to participate in all aspects of SOX and IT General Controls including but not limited to; planning, risk assessments, documentation, execution, testing, review, and follow up to ensure resolution of any identified issues. This position works with various internal business units, external auditing entities and other business stakeholders to ensure the appropriate control environments are implemented and maintained to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Manages the content of ITGC compliance program, performing continuous gap analysis of existing IT controls and security processes and develops and coordinates mitigating controls with business stakeholders.
  • Test the design and operating effectiveness for IT systems and internal controls; coordinate required remediation.
  • Responsible to implement ITGC controls over critical applications as defined by the Company’s ITGC implementation strategy plan.
  • Create SOX process dictionary, documenting all SOX controls in detail with supporting samples


Decision Making


  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage activities with cross-functional business stakeholders, including Security and Internal/External Audit.






  • BA/BS, and 3+ years relevant work experience specific to Security/ITGC
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (“CISA”) preferred.
  • Communication Skills
  • Clear and effective communication skills to senior leadership and business stakeholders (written, oral and listening).

  • Experience implementing and using GRC tools a plus.

Work Environment


  • Normal office working conditions in addition to industrial plant sites and quarries, requiring the usage of personal protective equipment, e.g. hard hat, steel-toed boots, and safety glasses, and following of other safety procedures and requirements.
  • The position may require work outside of normal business hours in response to critical incidents or business-impacting project deliverables.
