Job Summary


The ideal candidate will have regional oversight of all EHS programs and initiatives to ensure regulatory and corporate compliance, proactively manage and minimize EHS risks. Will work collaboratively across region to promote a culture of EHS excellence. APG East Region is comprised of 4 business units throughout the Northeast, Carolinas, and the Southeast. We have a total of 62 manufacturing sites, 24 retail sites and approximately 1,830 employees.


  • Drive a world class safety culture across the region by promoting EHS performance to eliminate and prevent workplace injuries and accidents
  • Partner with key stakeholders at various levels of the business to ensure organizational compliance with local, state and federal EHS regulations
  • Regional advisor on compliance with regulatory and corporate EHS requirements by providing regional support for agency interactions, enforcement, permitting, reporting, negotiations and settlements
  • Lead and support site operations and EHS team in implementing and sustaining EHS programs and procedures. Ensure resources, training and tools are available regionally to support initiatives
  • Mentor and develop talent within the organization and EHS team




  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 7+ years of increasing responsibility in a manufacturing or operations setting
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA, DOT and EPA regulations. CSP or other relevant certification preferred
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to evaluate performance metrics and outcomes
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence and build working relationships across functions and geographies and to interface with all levels of the organization
  • May be required to travel regionally 50 to 75% of the time
