Job Description

 

The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) will be responsible for cultivating, maintaining, and expanding the relationship with key target customers in the North American Data Center construction industry. The SAM will represent the company's entire portfolio of products and services by collaborating across multiple product businesses, developing and driving our overall Data Center growth strategy, and leading the account planning and execution cycle.

The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) is a high energy self-starter who is driven to succeed, can energize others to achieve team success, has effective written and verbal communication skills across all levels of an organization, and is effective at executing across the sales opportunity lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have strong prospecting and strong relationship building skills, the demonstrated ability to hunt new customers and generate sales results, and Data Center industry experience and knowledge. The Strategic Account Manager will report to the OI Enclosures Commercial Vice President.

 

 Responsibilities 

 

  • The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) will have responsibility for generating sales in the North American Data Center market segment for Oldcastle Infrastructure.
  • Generate profitable sales of Oldcastle Infrastructure products at target accounts.
  • Develop sales and marketing plans and strategies for long term business growth for target accounts the Data Center market segment including Google, Microsoft, Facebook, and Switch.
  • Understand, validate, and communicate each customer needs’ and lead the development of our value proposition.
  • Proactively lead the strategic account planning process and manage the execution the sales process from prospecting through proposal, order and post order activities to drive desired sales outcomes by account.
  • Coordinate the involvement of all Oldcastle Infrastructure resources to meet the account performance objectives and customers’ needs across all channels and project touch points.
  • Assimilate and communicate market segment research and competitor analysis to drive overall business strategy and product development.

 Requirements 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years professional experience, with 5+ years in sales or sales management role.
  • Experience in large facility construction industry; Data Center industry experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, presentation, and communications skills
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment and managing multiple projects.
  • Travel is expected to be ~50%
