Summary

 

Develop, implement, provide support, and coordinate the Oldcastle Precast Human Resources function including recruitment and retention, talent management, employee relations, employee policies and procedures, performance management process, employee benefits and design of incentive plans.  This position will report directly to the President, Oldcastle Precast (OPI) and is considered a key role in the senior management team.

 

  • Help create and manage an effective enterprise wide HR group
  • Partner and guide executive leadership team in determining HR needs, setting goals and executing on them
  • Engage strategically with leaders as a trusted advisor to optimize workforce alignment and performance across the organization.
  • Develop, coordinate and execute HR policy and procedure administration across all of OPI
  • Assist in identifying and creating development plans for High Potential employees 
  • Implement an effective Performance Management process within Success Factors
  • Drive the annual performance management process
  • Partner with legal department to ensure compliance issues are proactively addressed
  • Ensure all HR related compliance requests and information are being handled in a consistent and efficient manner
  • Determine areas where process standardization makes good business sense, leverage best practices and implement
  • Provide guidance and support to all levels of management with policy interpretation    
  • Develop and run meaningful reports to assist business leaders in achieving their HR goals
  • Communicate all updates and/or initiatives to appropriate OPI HR Managers, executives, General Managers and employee base as necessary
  • Partner with the recruiting center to develop a strategy to improve bench strength and continually improve the talent acquisition process

 

 Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or comparable discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years as a Human Resource Generalist including interpreting and implementing employee relations, benefits, training and talent management initiatives in a multi-site organization
  • 10+ years in a HR leadership capacity encompassing multiple locations/sites – preferably managing through direct reports as well as a matrix
  • Strong business acumen, ability to understand the HR needs for the business and implement solutions to achieve positive results for the business
  • Must be willing to travel up to 30%, particularly in the first year
  • Ability to work independently and get work done through others (when necessary) using effective delegation, scheduling, and time management practices
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to perform under deadline pressure
  • SPHR/PHR and/or SuccessFactors experience a plus
