The Director, Product Support Services will lead all product testing, certification and certification-documentation management processes for OBE by managing and delivering on all testing and validation requirements for standard, project-specific and new R&D product strategies. 




  • Manage all activities associated with testing, fabrication, and support services for OBE products to include; curtain wall, window wall, storefront, doors and other building envelope products
  • Prepare test plans and schedules and ensure quality of testing and technician efficiency
  • Implement and oversee a quality management system for all incoming materials including OBE manufactured components and outside purchased parts
  • Oversee the installation of all test mock-ups including material procurement, first article inspections and crating, shipping and logistics as required
  • Implement a centralized tool for managing all certification documentation assets (and their expiration dates) to include internal and third-party test reports, certifications and labels
  • Coordinate engineering, validation, and qualification testing in the test lab and with any outside test facilities
  • Manage staff of testing and certification technicians; and support design engineers and other design personnel through multiple projects to adequately support production, productivity improvements, and new product development
  • Foster the growth and professional development of the test engineering team by effectively recruiting, managing, motivating, and developing staff
  • Oversee the management, maintenance and calibration of test equipment for the facility
  • Oversee purchases that impact testing equipment, tools, lab assets, calibration, and support materials to keep operations functioning efficiently
  • Implement and oversee safety program in compliance with OBE standards and specific to the requirements of the R&D teams




  • BS in Civil/Structural/Mechanical/Materials or Architectural Engineering
  • 10+ years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in Building Materials Testing
  • Prior experience leading a team, leading projects and working in a collaborative, detail oriented, complex environment is critical for success
  • AAMA Fenestration Masters Certification required or willing to obtain certification
