Marketing Analyst

 

The Marketing Analyst acts as a key member on the Marketing team, providing analytical support on key initiatives, and helping articulate data-driven insight for a rapidly evolving environment. Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing & Commercial Excellence, the Marketing Analyst will also be responsible for various projects to drive strategic direction for the business.

Responsibilities will include:

 

  • Extracting data, conducting detailed product and customer analyses and reviewing product launch results to include sales, pricing and margin; communicate results and make recommendations for incorporation into marketing/commercial excellence strategies
  • Identify new product areas and/or market segments that offer potential for growth and expansion
  • Research competitor activities and be aware of industry trends
  • Prepare reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating complex conclusions into easily understandable pieces of information
  • Delivering various ad-hoc analyses and reports
  • Assist other areas of the company with market research when requested

 

Qualified candidates will possess:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of relevant marketing analysis/project management or sales experience, preferably in similar field
  • Familiar and proficient with large data sets, data tables and able to simplify large amounts of data to tell simple and compelling stories through data visualizations and analytical narratives for non-technical audiences
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to interpret data providing simple, well thought out conclusions
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, complex environment
  • Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Critical thinking and problem solving are imperative skills for success
  • Collaborative personality
  • Strong professional presence with the ability to work with all levels of leadership
