This is skilled position assisting the operations manager of the construction division for the Salt Lake Area, and Utah County.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Infield Administrator and Trainer

  • Set up users in Infield including assigning of departmental access.
  • Train foremen how to enter time for their crew on certified and non-certified jobs.  Provide necessary support to foremen after training to assure adequate understanding and accuracy.
  • Train other users of infield including managers and approvers how they can utilize the program for job management.
  • On occasion fix time on behalf of foremen when the situation warrants.
  • Coordinate between approvers and foremen in the correction of time.

Oldcastle Productivity Model Administration

  • Add new users to the Productivity Model
  • Monitor data integrity, and correct when necessary.
  • Verify that jobs are available for data input.
  • On occasion input report data for foremen and superintendents.
  • Pull reports as requested from within the OPM for managers.

Environmental Control

  • Monitor applicable job sites for compliance to SWPPP Plans and work with superintendent to correct issues.

Mobile Phone Support

  • Coordinate with Apple and Ogden phone support and foremen/supers dealing with phone issues such as:  phone activation, replacement, and when applicable bluetooth connection to Ipads.

Administration of Field Computers

  • Coordinate with all users of laptops in the field and Oldcastle IT for resolution of computer issues including:  computer replacement, battery replacement, expired password resets, hardware and software issues and Air Card activations and issues.
  • Enter user request forms for new and existing users.
  • Train field personnel in general computer use including:  Microsoft Outlook, Old Castle VPN connection, internet, OPM, Infield, McAfee security updates, password maintenance, general care and others.
  • Blue Stake Coordination. Inititate the scheduling of Blue Stake activities and update of current Blue Stake tickets.


Supervisory Responsibilities

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Two years related experience and/or education in an IT program.

Language Skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions

Computer Skills

  • Solid Understanding of many different computer programs, databases, and hardware/software support.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Standard driver’s license required.
