We are currently seeking a highly motivated Estimator/Customer Service Representative for our service center in Elk Grove Village, IL.  You will be responsible for developing and maintaining an effective relationship with customers by serving as a direct point of contact to provide information or services in response to inquiries about products or services, requests for quotes or pricing, process orders and address and resolve any complaints or issue. A successful candidate is one who demonstrates a high level of independent thought and problem solving capabilities, leadership and team building skills are highly sought for this position.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Utilize architectural drawings and specifications, shop drawings or elevation take-offs to provide detailed estimates to customers in a timely manner. 
  • Provide consultation, coordination, and assistance to our customers, sales force and internal personnel.
  • Consult, coordinate and provide direction or assistance by effectively communicating with other departments to insure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Greet customers and answer incoming calls in a professional manner with a positive attitude and assist them with product questions, quotes, ordering, order tracking, complaints and issues in a prompt manner.
  • Review inventory requirements and stock levels necessary to support orders and place purchase orders for material when necessary to support production.
  • Following all work and safety rules including but not limited to the wearing of PPE when on the shop floor.
  • Any other functions assigned or deemed necessary by management.


Job Requirements


  • Computer literate with a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Perform basic math calculations.
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, self-starting individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and efficiency complete task with consistency and accuracy, often under pressure and short deadlines.
  • Ability to follow established policies and procedures.




  • Minimum of a high school education with at least two years of post-secondary education or comparable experience in an engineering or construction related field.
  • Utilize a computer keyboard and type 30 words per minute.
  • Be available to work normal business hours (8-5) and overtime when required.
  • Experience preferred but not required, willing to train suitable candidate.


Additional Skills & Qualifications


  • Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD software.
