Job Summary

 

This is a newly created, key leadership position for Oldcastle Infrastructure. This role will report to the Regional HR Director and will act as an advisor and business partner to the General Manager in the assigned area. 

 

As a strategic HR Business Partner, you will implement strategies to make our business stronger by maximizing our human capital. You will ensure we have the right talent in place at each of our plant locations, while driving engagement and career development for our team members. You will use your business acumen to inform staffing decisions and improve our bottom line. You will counsel leaders on performance management and employee relations matters.

 

You will partner with Area leadership to foster a strong recruitment and selection process for the Area by fostering relationships with local educational institutions and community organizations to drive candidate flow.  You will work with Area leadership to develop and implement onboarding and training initiatives that drive engagement, operational excellence and functional/technical competence.

 

In this role, you will also provide dotted line leadership to HR/Accounting clerks in our plants. You will evaluate and make improvements to our HR processes while ensuring that practices comply with organization accounting policies and applicable laws and regulations.

  • Experience in all aspects of the Employee Lifecycle: Recruiting, Onboarding, Development, Retention and Offboarding 
  • Ability to analyze key business metrics such as Fixed Overhead costs, overtime, turnover, etc. in order to influence business leaders  
  • Ability to influence and communicate with all levels of the organization, from Production team members to Senior Leadership
  • Working knowledge of HR policies and Employment Law

Education Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years HR Business Partner experience, preferably in a Manufacturing environment
