Summary

This is a skilled position requiring the individual to perform maintenance and repair of all company equipment by performing the following duties.

**This position is for a swing/night shift based out of Grand Junction, CO and will require the ability to work weekends and travel as well as working after normal business hours most of the time.**

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility will be performing preventative maintenance services on trucks and equipment.
  • Operates and inspects machines or equipment to diagnose defects.
  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists and hand tools.
  • Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
  • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts.
  • Services equipment as necessary.
  • Lubricates and cleans parts.
  • Welds broken parts and structural members.
  • Must be able to function in the role with minimal interaction or supervision the majority of the time.
  • Other duties assigned per supervisor.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

          Language Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions

Computer Skills

  • None

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Class A CDL is required
    • With Hazmat Endorsement
