Our company is currently seeking a highly motivated Project Manager for our Metal Storefront facility in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Job Description

 

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing assigned projects according to strict deadlines and within budget for the Metal Storefront business in Grand Prairie, Texas. You will be responsible for acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of internal personnel and customers to deliver projects specifications according to plan. You will need strong technical skills, as part of your responsibilities will be to review architectural drawings and to provide estimates to customers that achieve the company’s goal sales and margin levels. You will interface regularly with sales and the production teams to work collaboratively to deliver products that meet customer needs and market demands. Future opportunities exist in Grand Prairie as well as opportunities at other Oldcastle locations throughout the U.S.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Provide detail reviews of shop drawings and/or architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Provide detailed estimates to our customers in a timely manner.  Work from architectural drawings and specifications, shop drawings or elevation take-offs
  • Follow up on estimates and provide feedback concerning market pricing levels
  • Achieve acceptable sales and margin levels.  Monitor actual vs. estimated costs and work with estimating supervisor to adjust standards accordingly
  • Provide consultation, coordination, and assistance to our customers, sales force and internal personnel
  • Maintain detailed and organized records of bid documents, correspondence and other project specific information
  • Establish a critical path for the entire window/curtain wall project.

 

Qualifications

 

  • An engineering or construction management related degree is preferred.
  • Must have strong MS Word and MS Excel Office Skills.
  • Organized with the ability to handle numerous projects and prioritize workload.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and specifications is preferred, but we are willing to train a strong candidate.
  • Basic knowledge of Oldcastle Building Envelope window/curtainwall products and their applications a plus.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Recent College Graduates are encouraged to apply!
