Summary  

The CSR is responsible for negotiating all aggregate, concrete and asphalt orders with various customers, by answering the phones within a timely manner and having a strong desire to deliver high levels of customer service.  Work will be performed per the supervisor’s instruction, free from direct supervision, except for more complicated jobs.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for own personal safety at all times as well as, maintain the highest standard of safety and quality in all aspects of the job.
  • Properly follow all company policies and procedures for a safe working environment, report any problems to the supervisor, dispatch, transportation manager, safety director or Human Resources.
  • Coordinate directly with customers and maintain a productive and professional relationship.
  • Act as customer’s first telephone point of contact for assisting customers with product questions, ordering, order tracking, complaints and problems.
  • Competency with computer and keyboarding skills.
  • Enter complete and accurate customer orders into delivery system.
  • Coordinate delivery schedule with dispatchers.
  • Look up all directions of address on streets and trips.
  • Provide leads to sales.
  • Proactively seek customer customer’s feedback to identify areas of improvement in all operations.
  • Call back customers for feedback and enter into salesforce.
  • Enter all customer or order related issues into salesforce.
  • Monitor scheduling calendars at all times.
  • Answer phones in a pleasant tone and in a timely manner avoiding all missed calls.
  • Back up for dispatching trucks when needed.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and multi task.
  • Excellent phone skills
  • Must be detail oriented and thorough in all job responsibilities.
  • Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.

 

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Two years of customer service preferred, but not required
