Summary

 

This position is responsible for performing general accounting functions, daily, weekly, and monthly, and follow up with operations and financial analysis.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Prepare and book general ledger journal entries
  • Handle general ledger account analysis and reconciliation
  • Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts and job cost accounts, documenting business transactions
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Cash Management Accounting – Records bank charges and funds wired or received
  • Inventory accounting
  • Prepare census reports
  • Assist in preparation of financial reports
  • Compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls and provide documentation when necessary
  • Document control procedures, identify weaknesses, and suggest procedures or compensating controls for weaknesses
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Education and/or Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience

  • Able to effectively communicate in verbal and written form to management, executives and internal customers
  • Ability to write procedure manuals
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from internal and external customers

 

Reasoning Ability     

 

  • Able to identify, define and resolve problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Able to interpret an extensive variety of instructions
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables

  • Have reliable transportation to travel between company offices and plants
