Position Overview

This is a skilled position where the Field Service Representative (FSR) will assist in job site coordination to ensure safe and successful delivery of our products while maintaining a safe and collaborative working environment.  The FSR is responsible for maintaining high quality communications between existing customer base, future customers, Dispatch, Sales, Quality Control and management. This position also demonstrates strong leadership skills, ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with all departments and perpetuating the highest level of customer centricity. The FSR must also be able to manage challenging and/or sensitive customer situations, responds promptly to customer needs and contribute to building a positive team spirit.

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Inpspires and utilizies a proactive mind-set
  • Approaches customers, dispatch, sales team, quality control, and management in a tactful manner; Reacts well under pressure; Accounts for own actions
  • Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals
  • Observes safety and security procedures; Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; Reports and corrects potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly
  • May be called upon to perform a variety of special projects and studies such as coordination of construction projects; including safety evaluations of projects.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

Qualifications  

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Two years related customer service experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Operations, Sales, Quality Control, and Customer Service/Dispatch experience preferred
  • Knowledge of basic construction specifications, aggregate, and industry best practices
  • Knowledge of area (Idaho Falls and surrounding markets)
  • Proficient with Windows based software, Microsoft Office Suite, PC, and other forms of technology 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills 
  • Strong phone and typing skills

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

 

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
