Job Summary


Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the Human Resources Manager we seek will be a motivated, self-starter who will help lead HR efforts to ensure all HR initiatives, programs, processes and policies are communicated, implemented effectively and are adhered to consistently.  Primary focus will be with employee relations, recruiting, leadership coaching, employee communications, training, policy development, and regulatory compliance.  Must be able to speak Spanish.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities 


  • Drive a culture of positive employee relation and act as a liaison between CR Laurence and employee. This includes effectively handling employee relation issues, conducting timely and thorough investigations providing a prompt resolution, updating employees to changes in company policy, advising leaders on company policies, and help resolve conflict in the workplace.
  • Leads recruiting, interviewing, selecting, orienting, training efforts for a team comprised of approximately 1700 employees across North American.
  • Partner with employees and leadership to communicate HR programs, policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.
  • Partners directly with CR Laurence leadership to ensure business goals are met or exceeded
  • Support corporate initiatives related to training programs and organization development efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local law by reviewing existing and new legislation; anticipate legislation, enforce adherence to regulations, and advising management on requirements.
  • Develops and maintains facility's affirmative action program to ensure regulatory compliance. Evaluate reports, decisions and results in relation to established goals.
  • May research, develop, update and maintain organizational HR policies, procedures, practices, and guidelines.
  • May represent the company in investigating, answering and settling employee relation grievances such as EEOC, NLRB, ADA, and unemployment and make resolution recommendations as needed to senior management.
  • Regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies, and procedures are essential functions of your job.


Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements


  • Bachelors Degree with 3 plus years HR generalist/business partner experience in a manufacturing environment, to include 2 years of comprehensive and complex employee relations experience.
  • Previous Affirmative Action experience.
  • Strong Organizational skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize work.  
  • Excellent communication skills both written, and verbal are required for success. Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and HR Systems with knowledge of UltiPro and Success Factors is preferred.
