Primary Function


Establish Quality Metrics, by analyzing and coordinating all activities related to non-conformance data to ensure continuous improvement to company’s quality system. In addition, improve the manufacturing processes to ensure process repeatability in order to reduce internal failures, which will affect product quality and reliability.  


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Acts as a QC Manufacturing Engineer, by identifying and analyzing the company’s non-conformance data generated from the following sources: Nonconformance data base, Q1, DM and RMA. 
  • Collect and report performance measures of metrics under Quality Manager's direction/supervision and from data analysis, continually identifies improvement opportunities to enhance performance and manufacturing processes.
  • Responsibility for analyzing corrective and preventive actions related to product quality.
  • Identify and record any problems related to the product, manufacturing processes and quality system.
  • Investigate customer claims and/or complaints related to quality and responding to such claims and/or complaints.
  • Verifying the implementation of solutions and follow-ups on C/A.
  • Collaborate with the QC Managr to effect continuous improvement for manufacturing processes and products by analyzing the data.
  • Review existing control plans, work with Quality Manage to audit the feasibility and effectiveness of control plans and provide any recommendations for  continuous improvement, related to product and/or manufacturing process.
  • Basic understanding of QC fixtures and "Go/No Go" gages and familiarity with inspection tools such as caliper, comparator and HT Gage is a plus (must be hands-on). 
  • Improve existing manufacturing processes to ensure process repeatability by designing/improving existing fixtures (Poke-Yoke) to reduce internal failures/scrap/rework.
  • Act as a member of CFT (Cross Functional Team) and perform 5S audits to support and sustain company’s 5S program.




  • AA/AS (Associate of Art/Science degree) from accredited college; BA/BS preferred.
  • Three (3) years related experience in QC and manufacturing, preferably in an architectural product type environment.
  • Experience with quality systems and familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts, 5S and ISO 9000.
  • Comfortable with computers, specifically with Microsoft, Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Experience with ERP systems – Epicor is a plus.
  • Spanish speaking ability is a plus.
  • Possess interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to provide written and verbal instructions, work effectively and efficiently in a “TEAM” environment.
