Position Summary 

 

The Project Manager will plan, direct and coordinate all activities on designated projects from the point of sale to completion to ensure that the projects are accomplished on time and in conformance with all the terms and conditions of the contracts.  In addition, he/she will act as the main contact person for the customer and all vendors on a particular project.  He/she is directly responsible for monitoring the project costs and compliance with contract documents, attending job meetings and protecting Oldcastle’s interest throughout the entire process. Additional responsibilities to include.

 

Position Responsibilities

 

 Essential Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Review and interpret project plans for accurate preparation of detailed submittal documents
  • Visualize and design special products as needed to meet customer needs
  • Request ordering of approved project specific materials with purchasing department
  • Update order and enter BOM’s for special products
  • Verify sales order quantity and pricing matches quotation and customer purchase order at all times
  • Ensure customer change orders are received to prevent delays in payment
  • Coordinate timely production with customer delivery requirements
  • Verify shop drawings are approved and accurate before release to production
  • Review open orders with customers to expedite shipping of products and minimize inventory on hand
  • Maintain accurate backlog by routine review of sales orders for material remaining
  • Lead the planning and implementation of secured projects
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements
  • Manage project resource allocation
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
  • Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
  • Project evaluations and assessment of results

 

Education/Experience

 

  • Minimum High School Diploma (or equivalent) with a combination of the following:
    • 2 + years of Project Management experience.
    • 1 + year of electrical installation experience.
    • 1 + year of construction plan/drawing review experience.
  • Associates' degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, Production or related field preferred.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Ability

  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
