 Job Summary


Our location in Middleburg Heights, OH is looking for an entry-level Fabrication Technician to join our team. You will be fabricating aluminum and other associated tasks in the creation of architectural doors, windows, frames, and similar products. Our fabricators are responsible for fabrication work per specification documents provided, packing duties, saw operations, as well as other utility duties which may be assigned. Prior fabrication experience is preferred. This is a 1st shift position that may have daily or weekend overtime as dictated by the production schedule.  


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Fabricating and assembling architectural aluminum products with various tools and machinery
  • Check the fab drawings to see what needs to be done and complete the order
  • Must do inspections on all necessary items. Do quality checks on parts after fabrication.
  • Produce in a timely manner
  • Weld parts as fabs require
  • Set up and cut parts on arm saw as well as vertical saw
  • Do compound miters
  • Must be versatile and able to change jobs on demand due to remakes or hot orders
  • Examine the near-completed metal part before beginning the next portion of the job
  • Stacking jobs on skid, then tag it to move to the proper location
  • Packing and lifting doors and frames. Order pulling, packaging and labeling for shipping
  • Required to keep area clean as a part of the Safety Initiative
  • Must know or be familiar with all the other positions in the department. Eventually, will be cross-trained in other areas. Other duties as assigned
  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of the job




To be considered for a Fabrication Technician position, the following conditions must be met:

  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred
  • Previous metal fabrication and/or metal finishing experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred
  • Maintain a good work attitude
  • Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and must be able to read a tape to a 1/32”
  • Have the ability to read and understand fab drawings
  • Have the skill to run a radial, band and vertical saw
  • Must be trained to set up and run a plasma welder
  • Have experience using various hand tools
  • Able to read and fabricate from hardware templates
  • Good knowledge of saws, mills, routers, drill presses, and welding
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed
  • All production workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of production




Arm saw, plasma welder, tape measure, compound miter saw, various hand tools.


Physical Requirements


  • Must be able to constantly bend, squat, reach, lift and push
  • Ability to push/pull/lift/carry up to 75 lbs. frequently
  • Ability to work in varied temperatures consistent with same climate conditions of the region (Heat, humidity, etc.)
