Job Summary

 

The Fabrication Supervisor reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for supervising and directing personnel to perform daily production operations in a safe manner according to the production schedule, and continuous involvement in manufacturing process to achieve the company goals of conformance to specifications, customer satisfaction and maximum profitability. He/she is also expected to contribute to a work environment that fosters pride in being part of a winning team.

 

Responsibilities           

 

  • Participate in continuous improvement and work place safety efforts
  • Take responsibility in coordination of production activities, quality control, inventory control, staffing, procurement and maintenance of equipment
  • Assign duties to workers and support production team in the accomplishment of company goals
  • Conduct performance reviews, handle disciplinary matters, train employees, and assist in the hiring process
  • Organize manufacturing processes to increase the efficiency
  • Administer Company Policies in a fair and consistent manner
  • Assist in creating job specific work instructions and checklists
  • Participate in investigation of non-conformances
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time

 

Qualifications

 

  • Good communication skills (written and spoken English)
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in Aluminum Window & Unitized Curtain-wall industry
  • Must be able to work Day or Afternoon Shifts
  • Strong Workplace Safety Ethics and Commitment
  • Excellent blueprint reading skills (both shop and fabrication drawings)
  • Must have high level of attention to details
  • Team player able to interact well with other departments and coach manufacturing personnel
  • Well organized an able to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in high-pressure environment
  • Customer Service oriented and Lean Manufacturing focused
  • Persuasive, encouraging and motivating
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Technology Diploma from Community College preferred
