Reporting to the Logistics and Customer Service Manager, the Customer Service Representative/Dispatcher is responsible for ensuring that all customers receive a high level of customer service by accurately entering customer orders, responding to customer inquiries, and providing customers with timely updated information regarding their deliveries. Logistics department touches many aspects of the business and provides knowledge of the business process, what we make, the application our products are used in and how it gets from CRH to our customers.

Position Responsibilities

  • Receive customer orders via phone & email. 
  • Provides timely and efficient service to customers, suppliers and plant personnel. Responding to inquiries, problems and delivery schedules requests from customers.
  • Order entry into our operating system (Command)
  • Dispatch - Tare and ticket vendor vehicles
  • Interacts with delivery drivers, directs drivers to product location for loading/unloading
  • Ensure Environmental and Health & Safety standards are maintained by: Promoting a safe work environment; documenting and reporting all related issues as per CRH policies
  • Provide exceptional customer service by: Accurately inputting customer orders and tracking the customer’s deliveries to ensure on time deliver; Provide customer service excellence through proper call etiquette when talking to all customers
  • Handle customer complaints by: Trouble shooting all customer related service issues an providing an optimal resolution to satisfy the customers’ needs; Documenting all complaint and forwarding to various departments for further resolution
  • Supports other team members to complete daily transactions

Working Conditions:

  • Shifts – 7:00am-3:00pm, 10:00am-6:00pm, 11:00am-7:00pm
  • Overtime/Weekend work may be required


  • College Diploma Preferred
  • SAP, Microsoft and BW experience preferred
  • Proficient with computer based technology including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office, Google Earth and web based service


  • Proficient computer skills
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Must possess excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrates leadership/ability to take ownership of tasks and make decisions, takes initiative and is self-motivated
  • Must be able to work within a team environment and interact with a variety of people in all plant departments
  • Good problem solving abilities
