Under the general direction of the General Accounting Supervisor, the Contract Accounts Payable Analyst performs moderately complex clerical duties of a specialized nature requiring a sound working knowledge of standard methods, established procedures and Dufferin Construction policies. This will be a 12 month contract.


Principal Function and Responsibilities

  • Enter in a high volume of vendor invoices as directed by the Sr. AP Analyst •Input approved invoices into the Viewpoint Financial System and check edits when completed.
  • Initiating correspondence with suppliers and field staff regarding missing documentation and to ensure site approval.
  • Verifying and validate all invoices for the appropriate job and item number and resolve or communicate all discrepancies.
  • Communicate price discrepancies with the Purchasing Department.
  • The processing of credit invoices for all unapproved invoices
  • Check the addition, extension sales tax and discount calculations on all invoices.
  • Participates in cross training and provides relief for other positions within the department.
  • Reconciling vendor statements on a monthly basis


Position Requirement

  • This is an entry level role for someone just out of school who is looking to prove themselves in a growing company
  • Diploma or Degree in Business Accounting, Business Administration or related area preferred
