Position Overview


This is a skilled position where the HR Transaction Lead is responsible for the accurate administration of all HR actions pertaining to HR/employee data in the UT/AZ Region. This will include HR data reporting, analysis and maintenance of personnel files in the electronic system of record (HRIS) and hard copy files. They will ensure compliance with various company and HR policies, procedures, guidelines and applicable federal and state laws. Provides day-to-day guidance to HR Team on procedure and best practices. Reviews routine documentation to ensure data integrity and quality of production.


Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)


  • Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of HR/employee records required by law, company policy and practice.
  • Responsible for weekly auditing to ensure compliance with all HR/employee data.
  • Assists management in collecting data for information requests.
  • Manages Company Affirmative Action/EEO programs.
  • Manages Job Description catalog.
  • Must be familiar with benefits management and benefits education to assist Benefits Administrator as needed.
  • Must possess working knowledge to oversee and manage medical leave programs: FMLA, ADA, Short Term & Long Term Disability, etc.
  • Oversees DOT and I-9 compliance.
  • Provide excellent customer service.  Answer phone calls and assist employees and company management with issues and questions related to HR, Payroll, Benefits, and other employment issues. 
  • Other duties as directed per supervisor.


Supervisory Responsibilities


  • Will directly supervise 3 to 5 employees

  • Minimum three years human resource experience is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or other related field or four years’ experience working in HR is acceptable in lieu of Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Prior experience leading a team is preferred.


Work Requirements


  • Ability to follow verbal and written instruction.
  • Ability to manage and empower a team.
  • Ability to do basic math.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PPT, etc.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to work 8AM-5PM Monday – Friday.


Knowledge/Skill Requirements


  • Must have a current and valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel to other work locations as needed.

Physical Requirements


  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move anywhere up to 25 lbs. Physical agilities test may be required.
