Job Summary

 

A warehouse associate is responsible for receiving, storing, shipping and distributing material in order to provide high quality customer service and ensure accuracy

 

Job Responsibilities

 

Duties include the following but are not limited to:

 

  • Operates forklift in and out of the warehouse
  • Receives material, supplies and properly places them in designated areas
  • Pulls customer orders and is responsible for the accuracy of the orders
  • Gathers product, bundles and prepares for shipment
  • Loads trucks using forklifts and completes designated paperwork
  • Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
  • Inspects and prepares parts for shipment per Operator instructions
  • Maintains records of production and quality issues as specified
  • Notifies supervisor of non-conforming product or problems with machine, materials, etc.
  • Communicates production issues with the next press operator
  • Performs routine machine maintenance
  • Assists other operators to set up machines and any other necessary tasks to adhere to deadlines and completion of product
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
     

Requirements

 

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members
  • Ability to read and write
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Basic arithmetic skills
  • Physical examination required
  • Must be able to operate a forklift and be eligible to drive a company vehicle
  • Candidate must have good customer service skills
  • High school diploma/ equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience
  • Must be a team player
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Flexibility to work longer shifts, as needed
  • Able to work in all kind of conditions
  • Lifting may be required with assistance provided if needed
