Position Overview

Responsible for preparing itemized statements, bills, or invoices used for billing.  Assist Inside Sales department with daily administration.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

(Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Complies with all environmental, health, safety and training policies, procedures and requirements
  • Types and/or reproduces reports, forms, correspondence, or other material
  • Prepares reports involving tabulations or posted data and simple mathematical calculations
  • Process daily corrections received from various departments
  • Process billing of daily cash reconciliations
  • Process work orders
  • Indexes records and information
  • Prepare weekly invoices and monthly statement
  • Process daily ifeedback forms
  • Investigate voided cash tickets
  • Proofreads all work for accuracy
  • Review all New York orders to ensure proper billing
  • Process tax exempt forms
  • Assist sales with various tasks
  • Assists other departments as requested or assigned
  • Regular and timely attendance is required.
  • Performs related duties as required

 

Marginal Duties and Functions

  • Assist other related departments with duties and special assignments as directed.

 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 

Education/Experience

Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent with coursework in finance or accounting.
  • Two years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience in accounting or business specific software

 

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent form of a four year college; or equivalent in years of related experience or training
  • Work experience with focus in accounting and accounts payable function

  • Skilled and accurate in data entry and data research
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when required.

 

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Must demonstrate strong numerical skills and the ability to analyze data and draw conclusions. 
  • Working knowledge of English and Math, office practices and procedures
  • Ability to maintain records and files
  • Ability to communicate effectively with and work well with other personnel
  • Ability to deal effectively with questions or problems, seeking assistance when needed
  • Must be computer literate
  • Ability to communicate sufficiently to be able to convey and exchange ideas, and to give and receive detailed verbal instructions.
  • Individual must possess a working knowledge and understanding of accounting concepts, including P&L’s and relevant balance sheet accounts.
  • Attention to detail and presentation of the work product to a high standard is required.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Exhibit professionalism and team oriented attitude.

This job will require both office work and field work. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
