Job Description Summary

 

As an Oldcastle APGW/Canada Quality Control Manager you will coordinate and maintain quality policies and procedures in accordance with APG West’s quality guidelines.  In addition, you will make sure management quality standards are communicated and implemented into the products.  This position will define and manage key performance metrics, ensure they are tracked, reported and analyzed periodically.

 

  • Understand, teach, implement and establish at plant level all the sections within the quality manual
  • Understand and teach the proper batching timing and sequence of each plants equipment to produce a consistent and homogeneous mix
  • Understand all information and correct procedures to produce consistent and vibrant colors including color blending
  • Understand the proper curing theories, techniques and best practices for each type of curing
  • Understand and teach the proper packaging specifications for each end user
  • Be able to teach and implement best practices / processes across all West facilities within the quality arena
  • Conduct quality testing of product and materials
  • Ensure testing guidelines are known, understood, implemented and performed
  • Ensure proper operation and calibration of test equipment
  • Monitor performance by collecting relevant information and preparing statistical reports

 

Requirements

 

  • About 50% travel within the Western States and Canada
  • At least two years’ related experience and/or training
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: NCMA, ASTM, and ACI
  • Must possess industry knowledge and skill
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and current passport
