Utility/Maintenance – Pittston - 2nd Shift

Job Description Summary
  • Adhere to and follow all safety rules and regulations of MSHA/OSHA/DOT and Pennsy Supply, Inc.
  • Conduct daily safety assignments (area inspections, pre-shifts, JSA’s, TRACK forms, etc.)
  • Conduct continual visual inspections of the plant daily and assist the plant operator in the plant walk through.
  • Operate skid steer on an as needed basis to clean under conveyor belt lines.
  • 1-2 years operating equipment is preferred.
  • Clean all debris from catwalks daily.
  • Adjust scrapers as needed, or communicate to supervisor if not able to adjust.
  • Mark bad rollers on conveyors during daily walk through.
  • Grease, check drive belts, gear box oil and take bearing temps as required on maintenance list.
  • Add all maintenance items required to the “Daily Maintenance” list and communicate with Plant Operator, Leadperson and Supervisor.
  • Prepare for maintenance assignments by creating tool and parts kits for work orders as directed.
  • Maintain efficient work environment – 5S organized truck, tools, parts room/areas.
  • Be aware of time constraints.  Jobs should be completed during scheduled hours (communicate the need for help as needed prior to the start of task).
  • Maintain an efficient work environment – 5S – organized truck, tool and parts room/areas, MCC’s, soap house, etc.
  • Assistant plant operator as required with daily/operational duties.
  • Must be able to weld and cut with a torch.
  • Complete work orders as assigned.
  • Clean up after all jobs.  Jobs are not considered completed until the work area has been cleaned of all debris.
  • Fill in as needed at any position in the quarry.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

  • Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Current PA driver’s license is required.
  • Able to work various times during day, night or weekend hours, at various locations.

 

Education/Experience

  • High school Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
