Job Description Summary


Oldcastle Precast is currently hiring a quality control technician at its Spokane, WA facility. The quality control technician will perform a wide range of duties within the plant including but not limited to

  • Perform pre-pour and post-pour inspections
  • Gather information needed to fill out forms for submission to state DOT’s or other entities
  • Complete and file reports and paperwork, both internal and external
  • Test concrete following ACI and PCI approved methods• Operate steam and Sure-Cure systems, assist in repairs as needed
  • Operate and calibrate stressing pumps
  • Make accurate thermal adjustments to stressing calculations
  • Check stressing elongations
  • Check products for strand slippage
  • Measure, compute and record cambers
  • Operate Schmidt hammer correctly and compute results
  • Weigh color additives
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with concrete mix designs
  • ACI / PCI Certification preferred
  • Understanding of PCI MNL 116, 117, and 120
  • Familiarity with DOT specs
  • MS office experience
  • Ability to read and understand both production piece drawings and erection drawings
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members
  • Ability to follow company production and safety procedures
  • Must wear personal protective equipment
  • Physical examination required

  • Lifting may be required with assistance provided if needed
