This position will maintain a comprehensive set of controls to mitigate risk and enhance the timeliness and accuracy of operational financial information at the AERT facility in Springdale. In addition to the requirements listed below, the ideal candidate will have well developed people skills, have a personal commitment to organizational excellence and the highest sense of ethics and integrity:


Qualifications & Requirements


  • Degree in Accounting with a professional accounting designation- CPA/CMA preferred
  • At least 3+ years of progressive cost accounting responsibilities in a manufacturing environment
  • Advanced skills and experience in Excel and highly developed analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Experience in Report writing from an ERP system
  • Superior communication and problem-solving skills with ability to provide financial and cost guidance on complex manufacturing operations
  • Must have knowledge and skills to build and maintain detailed budget models
  • Demonstrated success in manufacturing cost accounting and standard product cost maintenance
  • Experience with and understanding of the internal and external audit
  • Self-Starter who can lead a continuous improvement process, escalate issues and drive them to resolution


Essential Duties and Responsibilities 


 Include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)


  • Budget preparation and maintenance, with risk and opportunity analysis
  • Account reconciliation and ledger maintenance
  • Daily and monthly reporting, managing, and optimizing financial closing and consolidation
  • Work with auditors providing all necessary documentation and requests
  • Duties require broad conceptual judgment, initiative and ability to deal with complex business and accounting issues while acting as a resource to operations management
  • Maintain sound internal control environment including SOX and COSO to ensure integrity and reliability of operational financial data
  • Ensure timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of all cost, inventory, and manufacturing data and reports

Education and Experience 


Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CMA designation a plus. With three (3) years of accounting experience in a manufacturing setting.




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting a minimum. CMA designation a plus.
  • Advanced skills and experience in Excel
  • Experience with Sales & Use Tax Filings
  • Report writing from ERP system
  • Highly developed analytical skills with attention to detail
  • AR/AP experience
  • Demonstrated success in manufacturing cost accounting
  • Treasury experience
  • Experience with preparation of documentations needed by external and bank auditors for a Public Company


Language Skills 


Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.


Mathematical Skills 


Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis


Computer Skills


Computer skills required for this position are based on frequency and use of computers or computerized equipment. Associate must have strong knowledge and understanding of operating systems; advanced knowledge of MSOffice, and knowledge of payroll, AR and AP processing software. Additionally, the associate should have basic understanding of networks, network directories, network security and ERP systems. 


Reasoning Ability


Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draws valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
