Job Summary

 

The Plastic Technician supplies and maintains appropriate quantities of plastic, pigment, and zinc throughout the shift for use in the production process. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Receives incoming loads of plastics, pigments, and zinc and prepares BOL and other necessary paperwork
  • Transports and unloads incoming materials to designated work areas utilizing a bulk truck and powered industrial vehicles
  • Monitors appropriate inventory levels of raw materials
  • Maintains continuous communication with Shift Supervisor and Control Room Operator to ensure quality product specifications are met throughout the shift and to ensure the availability of product for production requirements
  • Climbs silos to check silos levels
  • Follows production schedule and leads department to ensure that production objectives are executed

 

Requirements

 

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Driver’s License required
  • Must not be afraid of heights
  • Experience operating powered industrial vehicles
  • Reliable, dependable, proven work ethics
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills and positive attitude
