Production Manager, Three Forks, MT

 Position Responsibilities (key duties, scope of position, goals, expectations, skill requirements, and travel requirements):

  • Provide leadership in administering and adhering to company’s safety, environmental and quality policies
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction for the production and quarry departments in a manner consistent with company values, and ensure alignment with plant and company goals
  • Provide leadership and technical expertise on production and quarry related issues
  • Participate as a key member of the plant leadership team to create a high performance culture
  • Oversee creation and maintenance of a safety-conscious workforce including ensuring housekeeping is a daily priority
  • Responsible for the development and management of the production and quarry budget
  • Work closely with other departments to provide leadership, guidance, and direction for plant operations to ensure alignment to plant and company goals
  • Effectively develop employees within department which includes conducting the review process of all production and quarry staff
  • Ensure optimization of all processes in the production department
  • Participate in community and public relations activities when necessary
  • Ensure that quality and environmental ISO standards are met
  • Maintain inventories of purchased raw materials and fuels and reconcile physical inventory
  • Management of offsite quarry operations
  • Ensure production reporting data is accurately entered into SAP business system


Educational Requirements:

         Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred; advanced technical degree or MBA desired

Other Related Experiences Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of combined management level and cement industry experience in a supervisory/managerial role preferred
  • Strong computer skills required, including Excel, Word, Project, etc.
  • SAP experience is a plus
  • Must understand both engineering and business principles
  • Extensive knowledge and background in operations supply chain business processes, continuous manufacturing and production processes, and working contemporary concepts of continuous improvement
  • Positive and proactive attitude with ability to address issues and implement solutions
  • Proven in leading operational excellence through applying behavior based management
  • Prior experience demonstrating effective management skills
