Based out of the CRH Canada Head Office located in Concord, ON and working under the direction of the Vice President, Strategy & Development, the Sr. Analyst, Strategy & Development will interface regularly with senior management on a broad variety of confidential and complex issues. The successful candidate must be able to exercise discretion, good judgment and take initiative. Working closely with the Executive Team, across CRH Canada Group Inc. and with the CRH AMAT Group, the incumbent must act as a key resource in providing the research and analytical support required to develop and achieve our corporate strategy.  The successful candidate will operate with little supervision and must have a clearly defined sense of what needs to be done without waiting for direction and will assist in developing a strong analytical culture in the organization by ensuring accurate and meaningful information is available to decision makers. #LI-TC1

 

Responsibilities:

  • Engaging and inspiring employees towards the establishment and maintenance of a positive safety culture.
  • Making recommendations on acquisition scenarios for market penetration or market development.
  • Ensuring that the use of business intelligence applications enhances business decision making capabilities.
  • Promoting excellence in the design, maintenance and usage of business analysis and business intelligence applications.
  • Building effective partnerships with other organizational units and shared services to maximize best practices and achieve operational excellence.
  • Leading and managing appropriate programs/activities to ensure compliance with applicable company policies and legislative laws and regulations.
  • Having an awareness and understanding of CRH Canada/US CSR/brand objectives and philosophies.
  • Understanding and operating in accordance with company programs, policies and legislative requirements to be able to proactively monitor performance objectives.
  • Actively demonstrating the competencies outlined in CRH Pipeline Model to contribute to a high performance work environment.
  • Promoting commitment to the organization’s vision & values.                                                    
  • Co-ordinate CMT and other related meetings - agenda setting, presentation preparation (CEO presentations and templates), meeting management, minutes, action items.
  • Communicating and partnering with the Americas Materials Strategy team to ensure CRH Canada strategy is captured consistent with the North American template.              
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Experience & Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Commerce/Management and 3 – 5 years of experience within a similar role.
