Job Summary


Ensure prompt and accurate fulfilment of customer orders. Interact with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services and to handle and resolve complaints. This role is the internal connection between various departments such as Production, Engineering, and to ensure customer and company interests.


Responsibilities
 

  • Ensure all customer orders are recorded and processed in a timely manner
  • Primary liaison with other departments, will ensure correct steps are followed for order completion
  • Prepare quotes for customer
  • Ensure customer, project and quotation data are entered in CRM
  • Receive customers' requests by telephone or mail, analyzes requests, provides information requested or ascertains who best can provide the information, and routes the request to the proper person
  • Respond to customers' requests via telephone or mail
  • Contact customers to ascertain data omitted on orders
  • Analyze transactions, corrects records, and adjusts errors
  • Coordinate customer account set-up
  • Handle credit card payments
  • Knowledge of product line, prices, delivery time, drop ship items, as required
  • Record complaints and handle returns / replacements
  • Follow up with customers on open quotes to convert to orders.
  • Make outbounds calls to our customers to follow up on recent delivery of our products.
  • Able to interpret architectural plans to extract relevant technical information to process an order.
  • Contribute to team effort
  • And other assignments, as needed

 

Education / Experience / Skills
 

  • 4-year college degree preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience in customer service for an Inside Sales function
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi task, required
  • Ability to work well with Internal and External Customers, required
  • Proficient computer skills with ability to use software such as: MS Office, ERP systems (MS Dynamics AX, a plus), etc.
  • Must pay attention to detail and ensure all work is accurate
  • Ability to build long-term relationship with customers
  • Organizational sensitivity, ability to manage vertical and horizontal relationships
  • Ability to work with others
  • Ability to handle stress, can find a way out of problems with a minimum of fuss
  • Problem solver, with the ability to sense needs when they arise
  • Familiarity with architectural plans, a plus.
  • Technical familiarity with the construction industry, required.
